Mike Mangione's 7th release is a haunting and intimate collection of new, old and Peter Gabriel material. For two consecutive evenings in 2011, Mike Mangione and producer/friend Justin Heron set a mobil studio up in Mike's newly purchased house in Wisconsin. Having just released his 3rd effort, "Offering", Mike had a handful of songs leftover with nowhere to put them. Before his family could move anything into their new home, Mike and Heron decided to utilize the house's vaulted ceilings and wood floors for its sonic contribution. As simple as setting up, lighting a candle and pressing record, Heron and Mangione aimed to create an up close and raw soundscape that transports the listener into the room with them. The end result is the pure, peaceful and powerful "Kill The Blues Sessions".
