Become A Patron

Hello my friends,

We are pleased to announce that we have aligned with 3 time Grammy winning producer Larry Campbell for our next record. We will begin recording Aug 8th in upstate NY.

I first saw Larry playing with Bob Dylan in 1998. Every Dylan concert I attended I would watch the dark haired guitarist to his side. I fell in love with his style. I feel deeper in love in 2001 when one of my all time favorite Dylan records, "Love and Theft" , was released and featured Larry's guitar, mandolin and fiddle all over it. Sometime around 2006 I was sad when I noticed Larry was no longer playing alongside Dylan. Then, like some kind of joke by the music gods, Larry reappeared playing alongside my other music hero, Levon Helm. From 2007 until Levon's death in 2012 Larry played lead for Levon and produced his three Grammy winning records during what is known as Levon's "comeback years".

We have already begun preproduction and should have the record mixed and mastered by this fall. I am confident that this is my best material yet and will be in the care of one of the most talented musicians my genre has to offer.

Thank you for your continued support.  Please consider becoming a patron of the next record.  Together we can create beautiful things!

New Video - Promised Land

Promised Land

Album: But I've Seen The Stars

Artist: Dave Leiberg

From Dave: ‘The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing... to find the place where all the beauty came from...’ (CS Lewis, ‘Till We Have Faces’) Mike Mangione’s song, ‘The Promised Land’ and the imagery that I created to accompany it seems to me to be a reaching out for that echo of beauty through the din and emptiness of everyday suffering and loss; seeking beauty and love through the ‘retched soil’ and ‘rusted nail.’ Resurrection through death. All while holding fast to that vision of beauty and truth. ‘Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing?’

New "Lay Down" Video Released!

We released a new lyric video for the track  "Lay Down" from our last release “But I’ve seen the stars”.

We wanted to capture something showed time on a micro level.  This song is a celebration of marriage, love and the journey.  I am very happy with the result.

If you watch it, like it, then share it!

The Official Video for "Riding Down" is out!

Mike teamed up with filmmaker, Damien Blue, to create this beautiful piece which premiered on Country Fancast in January.

“We wanted imagery that played with freedom vs. being bound…so we tied me up and set that kid off on a journey. Truth is, we are always somewhere between those two places and this song/video is meant to add imagery to that reality,”

The Three Days EP and Videos

The Three Days EP is RELEASED!

Over the last few months Mike and a few friends spent some time in the studio.  The idea behind the Three Days EP was to create something live, genuine and different from the studio release due in the fall.  So Mike recorded 4 songs, 3 of which are on the upcoming full length record and one cover, all of them a shade different from their original versions.  What made this session so unique was that there was only one microphone used!  The musicians gathered around and mixed the song by proximity to the mic.  The result is a warm and authentic collection of songs that sounds like you are standing in the room with them.  As if that wasn't cool enough ... the entire thing was recorded and each song will have its own video release.  This is just the beginning of what will be a great 2017!
